Backpack Snack Recipe
- 1/2 c. Dry apricots
- 3 c. Granola cereal
- 1/2 c. Peanuts
- 1/2 c. M&Ms(r) plain chocolate candy
- 1/2 c. Raisins
- 1/2 c. Minced dates
- 1.
- (Get an adult to help with this step) - Measure dry apricots and place on cutting board.
- Chop into small pcs using utility knife.
- 2.
- Place in large container with cover.
- 3.
- Measure remaining ingredients into container.
- 4.
- Stir together with large spoon.
- 5.
- Cover and store at room temperature.
- Add in or possibly substitue any of the following ingredients:
- *Pecan or possibly walnut pcs or possibly whole almonds
- *Unsalted shelled sunflower seeds
- *Chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter, or possibly vanilla chips
- *Dry banana slices
- *Goldfish or possibly oyster crackers
- *Minced dry peaches, apples, figs, or possibly pineapple
- *Crisp cereal squares
- *Crisp shoestring potatoes
- *Chow mein noodles
- *Popped popcorn
- *Miniature marshmallows
