Apple, Cranberry And Pear Crisp Recipe
- 2 x apples (roman beauty)
- 2 x pears (hard comice)
- 1/2 c. dry cranberries, raisins, or possibly dry cherries
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1 x 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
- 1/4 c. grnd nuts
- 1/2 c. butter or possibly margarine
- Method:1.
- Peel apples and pears, and cut them into 1/2 inch cubes.
- Combine with dry cranberries, 1 Tbsp.
- flour, honey, and lemon juice.
- Place this mix in a greased 8 inch baking dish.

- Blend together till crumbly 1/2 c. flour, brown sugar, oats, nuts, and butter.
- Don't over mix.
- Sprinkle flour mix loosely over fruit.
- 3.
- Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) till brown and crisp on top, about 45 min.
- Makes 1 crisp
- This is a variation of the traditional Apple Crisp which I dreamed up one day when I didn't have sufficient apples and there were pears in the fruit bowl and leftover toasted hazelnuts from something else.
