Homemade Gravy

  1. In a large pan, heat the butter until it melts.
  2. Add onions and mushrooms.
  3. Cook on medium-low heat for 5 minutes.
  4. Add garlic and cook for another 5-10 minutes, until the onions are lightly browned and softened.
  5. Add flour to the pan, and stir until blended into a paste.
  6. Blend in the salt and pepper and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Add the chicken stock mixture and brandy.
  8. Cook uncovered for 4 to 5 minutes until thickened.
  9. Season to taste, and serve.
