Apple Cherry Glazed Pork Chops Recipe
- 2 x boneless pork loin chops - (3 ounce ea)
- 1/4 tsp dry thyme leaves - (to 1/2)
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper Nonstick extra virgin olive oil cooking spray as needed
- 2/3 c. unsweetened apple juice
- 1/2 sm apple peeled, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. sliced green onion
- 2 Tbsp. dry tart cherries
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- Trim fat from pork chops.
- Stir together thyme, salt and pepper.
- Rub on both sides of pork chops.
- Spray skillet with cooking spray.
- Add in pork chops.
- Cook over medium heat 3 to 5 min or possibly till barely pink in center, turning once.
- Remove chops from skillet; keep hot.
- Add in apple juice, apple slices, green onion and cherries to skillet.
- Simmer, uncovered, 2 to 3 min or possibly till apple and onions are tender.
- Stir together water and cornstarch.
- Stir into mix in skillet.
- Cook and stir till boiling.
- Spoon over pork chops.
- This recipe yields 2 servings.
