Sea Tang Chowder Recipe
- 2 lobsters, boiled
- 1 pound Bay scallops
- 1 pound crab meat
- 8 soft shells med. clams, steamed and shelled
- 1 pound mushrooms
- 1 quart. Grade A lowfat milk
- 1/2 pound shrimp
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 pt. cream
- Salt and pepper
- Few grains cayenne
- 1/2 c. sherry or possibly 1/2 c. white wine
- Cut the lobster meat into small pcs.
- Simmer the scallops and crab meat and the soft part of the clams and mushrooms in the lowfat milk, with several pcs of lobster shell.
- Boil the shrimp separately and shell.
- Heat the butter, blend in the flour; add in the cream and seasonings.
- Then add in the other ingredients and the lowfat milk in that they were cooked.
- Remove lobster shells.
- Finally add in the sherry or possibly white wine.
