Pasta caruso
- 50 grams unsalted butter
- 250 grams ham slices
- 1 beef stock cube
- 1/2 liter heavy cream
- 184 grams sliced mushrooms (champignion)
- 100 grams parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 dash salt and pepper
- 1 dash ground nutmeg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 kg spaghetti or favorite pasta
- Dice the ham, and boil water for the spaghetti.
- Cook the spaghetti
- Add 25 grams of unsalted butter in a saucepan at low temperature wait until it melts
- Add the diced ham in the saucepan and leave until it is cooked
- In another deep saucepan add 25 grams of unsalted butter
- Add all the heavy cream at low temperature
- Add a dash of ground nutmeg, salt and pepper at will
- Mix in a cup the milk with the cornstarch stir well
- Add the mix to the heavy cream and stir
- Add the beef stock cube and disolve it with the heavy cream
- Add ham, mushrooms mix everything together (instead of mushrooms you can add peas and also bacon bits)
- Add the parmesan cheese slowly and stir everything until it boils
- Mix the spaghetti with sauce and stir it well.
- Now you have a creamy caruso sauce
