Steakhouse Burgers with Horseradish Sour Cream
- 1 1/4 lb. ground beef chuck
- 13 c. sour cream
- 2 1/2 tsp. prepared white horseradish
- 4 English muffins
- 4 Boston lettuce leaves
- Shape ground beef into 4 patties, each 1/2 inch thick.
- Sprinkle patties with 1/2 teaspoon salt, then with 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper, pressing pepper lightly into patties.
- Heat nonstick 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add patties and cook about 6 minutes for medium or until of desired doneness, shaking skillet occasionally and turning patties once.
- Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine sour cream, horseradish, 1/8 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper.
- Serve patties on English muffins with lettuce and horseradish sauce.
