Baby Carrots With Ginger And Sage Butter Recipe
- 2 lb Baby carrots - scrubbed clean
- 1/2 c. Unsalted butter - one stick
- 5 1/2 Tbsp. Firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Fresh ginger, minced
- 1/2 x Lemon - juiced
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 x Clove garlic - mashed
- 1 Tbsp. Fresh sage - minced Or possibly 1 tsp. dry sage
- Poach carrots in simmering water or possibly chicken broth till just tender.
- Drain.
- Heat butter and add in brown sugar, ginger, lemon juice, salt, garlic and sage; then add in carrots and gently saute/fry 2 to 3 min to blend flavors.
