Crack and Cheese

  1. boil pasta as directed on the package
  2. shred cheese
  3. in a large stock pot saute bacon until almost crispy.
  4. place cooked pasta and bacon in large oven safe dish.
  5. (spray dish with nonstick spray or you will hate life when it's time to do the dishes! )
  6. using the bacon grease make a roux.
  7. over med heat add the flour 1/3 cup at a time stirring constantly.
  8. once all the flour is added keep stirring and cook 3-4 min
  9. whisk in the milk slowly
  10. once all the milk is added increase the temp to med high.
  11. whisking constantly, slowly add all the cheese 1 handful at a time.
  12. allow it to melt before adding another handful
  13. once all cheese is melted, pour the cheese sauce over the pasta
  14. crush club crackers and spread evenly over pasta
  15. bake at 350 for 30 min
  16. eat and enjoy!
