Peppers Stuffed With Macaroni & Ham Recipe
- 6 lg. green peppers
- 2 1/2 c. cooked macaroni
- 1 1/2 c. minced ham
- 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
- 1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese (mild)
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce mixed with 1/2 c. water
- Cut peppers in half and remove stems and seeds.
- Boil 10 min in salted water.
- Drain and place in large, flat baking dish.
- Combine macaroni, ham and crumbs.
- Add in half the cheese and half the tomato sauce-water mix.
- Stir well and spoon into pepper halves.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and drizzle on the remaining tomato sauce and water mix.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake 30 min, remove foil and bake 30 min longer.
