Patty Ann's Holiday Cherry Squares

• 1 1/2 cups corn flake crumbs
• 1/2 cup margarine softened
• 4 tablespoons sugar
• 2 cups miniature marshmallows
• 113 cups coconut, shredded (desiccated)
• 3/4 cup maraschino cherries chopped
• 1 can milk, sweetened condensed
• 1 cup walnuts

1. Oven 350F (180C).
2. In a 13x9x2 inch baking pan, combine cornflake crumbs, butter and sugar.
3. Press down firmly with back of spoon.
4. Sprinkle coconut, marshmallows, and cherries evenly over crumb crust.
5. Pour sweetened condensed milk over all evenly.
6. Bake at 350F (180C).
7. for about 25 minutes.
8. Cool completely before, cutting into squares.
9. Store in tin box between layers of wax paper.
