Maple Cookies
- 12 cup Crisco
- 12 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon maple flavoring
- 2 34 cups flour
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 12 cup butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons hot water
- 2 teaspoons maple flavoring
- combine crisco, sugar and eggs thoroughly stir in sour cream and maple extract.
- in seperate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt.blend into sugar mixture -- stir in nuts and drop by rounded tblsful 2" apart on greased sheet --
- bake at 375* for 10 minutes or not imprint when lightly touched.
- cool throughly on wire rack.
- to prepare GLAZE:.
- heat butter till golden.do not burn -- mix in powdered sugar and flavoring.stir in water gradually until icing is smooth.
