Meatless Enoki Mushroom and Okara Hamburger Steaks
- 1 pack Enoki mushrooms
- 80 grams Fresh okara
- 1/2 of a large onion Onions (minced)
- 1 Egg
- 3 tbsp Panko
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1/3 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 1 clove Garlic
- Mince the enoki mushrooms finely and either do the same to the garlic, or grate.
- Mix in with the beaten egg and soy sauce.
- Use your hands to mix all the ingredients together with a pressing motion.
- Taste and ensure that the flavours have melded.
- Fry the patties in a frying pan to make healthy burgers.
- Top with grated daikon and mentsuyu or soy sauce for a refreshing zing.
- You could also combine cheese and tomato paste to make a rich cheese sauce and pour it on the burgers.
