Apricot Cream Cheese Drops Recipe

  4. Heat oven to 350.
  5. Grease baking sheet with Butter Flavor Crisco.
  6. Set aside.

  8. Cream 1/2 c. Butter Flavor Crisco, cream cheese and lowfat milk in medium bowl at medium speed of electric mixer till well blended.
  9. Beat in brown sugar.
  10. Beat in 1/2 c. preserves.

  12. Combine flour, baking pwdr, cinnamon and salt.
  13. Mix into creamed mix.
  14. Stir in 1/2 c. nuts.
  15. Drop 2 level measuring tablespoonfuls of dough into a mound to create each cookie.
  16. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.

  18. Bake at 350 for 14 min.
  19. Cold on baking sheet one minute.
  20. Remove to cooling rack.
  21. Cold completely before frosting.

  23. For Frosting: Combine confectioners sugar, 1/4 c. preserves and 1 Tbsp.
  24. Butter Flavor Crisco in small mixing bowl.
  25. Beat with electric mixer till well blended.
  26. Frost cooled cookies.
  27. Sprinkle finely minced pecans over frosting, if you like.
  28. VARIATIONS: Try peach or possibly pineapple preserves in place of apricot.
