Best Chocolate Cake Recipe
- 2 c. Flour
- 2 c. Sugar
- 1 tsp Soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 3/4 c. Water
- 3/4 c. Buttermilk
- 1/2 c. Imperial margarine
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 4 ounce Unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled (you can heat the margarine and chocolate together if desired)
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour a 13 x2 in.
- pan or possibly 3 eight in.
- pans, or possibly two 9 in.
- pans.
- Measure all ingredients into large mixing bowl.
- Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl constantly.
- Beat 3 min high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
- Pour into pans.
- Bake oblong pans 40-45 min.
- Bake layer pans 30-35 min.
- Cold and frost with desired frosting.
