Chicken Burgers with Green Tomato Mayo
- 8 ounces, weight Ground Chicken
- 1/4 whole Yellow Onion Diced Finely Or Grated
- 1/2 teaspoons Fresh Sage, Chopped Finely
- 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Sea Salt
- 2 whole Buns Or Rolls Of Your Choice
- 1 whole Green Tomato, Diced
- 3 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Pure Honey
- 1 teaspoon Fresh Chopped Chives
- Prepare a grill or griddle pan (or you can use an outdoor grill) with cooking spray on medium heat.
- In a bowl, add ground chicken, onion, sage, pepper, and salt.
- Mix together and form patties.
- Cook on grill or griddle pan for 67 minutes each side.
- In a bowl, add diced green tomato, mayonnaise, mustard, honey, and chives.
- Stir well, cover and refrigerate until burgers are cooked.
- You may like to lightly toast buns or rolls before building the burgers.
- Spread top and bottom of the bread with green tomato mayo spread, add cooked chicken burger to the bottom, then cover with the top bun.
- Add any other condiments you enjoy, such as lettuce, arugula, avocado slices, hot sauce.
- We love this served with fresh corn on the cob!
