Steak Salad & Rice Pilaf
- 3 oz. beef sirloin steak, 1/2- to 3/4-inch thick
- 1/8 tsp. cracked black pepper
- 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, cut into wedges King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1/4 slivered medium red onion
- 1/4 zucchini, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. KRAFT Lite Thousand Island Dressing
- 1 tsp. very low-sodium chicken bouillon granules
- 2 Tbsp. orange juice
- 1/3 cup instant brown rice, uncooked
- 2 Tbsp. dried cranberries
- 1 Tbsp. PLANTERS Sliced Almonds
- 1 16 fl oz bottle , favorite flavor
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Sprinkle steak with pepper.
- Grill 5 to 7 min.
- on each side, or until medium doneness (160F).
- Cut steak across the grain into thin slices.
- Toss steak slices with lettuce, tomato, onion, and zucchini in large bowl.
- Add dressing; mix lightly.
- Bring bouillon granules, 1/3 cup water and orange juice to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Stir in rice and dried cranberries; return to boil.
- Reduce heat to medium-low; cover.
- Simmer 5 min.
- Remove from heat.
- Let stand 5 min.
- before serving.
- Stir in almonds just before serving.
- Serve meal with a bottle of CRYSTAL LIGHT.
