carne asada nachos, cantina style
- 1 packages tortilla chips, i used juanitas brand, cantina style
- 2 lb chopped taco meat, beef carne, or carne asada, finely chopped
- 1 can spicy jalepeno refried beans
- 2 tsp garlic salt
- 2 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp seasoning salt
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 large lemon, cut into 4 pieces
- 1 chopped cilantro, for topping
- 1 chopped tomato, for topping
- 1 chopped white or green onion, for topping
- 1 shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 shredded cheddar cheese
- cook beef in skillet over medium heat.
- during cooking, season with 1/2 tsp of each seasoning and 1 quarter of lemon at a time until all used.
- add more or less to taste.
- add also 2 pinch chopped cilantro to meat while cooking, until fully cooked.
- we cooked ours a little longer to make it a little crispy.
- heat beans until heated through.
- mix in about 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, heat until melted (opt.)
- place chips as desired on plate.
- "sprinkle" beans on chips.
- top with meat.
- top with cheese, place in microwave about 1 1/2 min, until cheese MOSTLY melted.
- top with desired toppings, place in microwave about 30 sec.
- top with sour cream for dipping.
- add tapatio or fave hot sauce as desired.
