Caramel Frosting (Mom's Recipe)

  1. Melt butter in saucepan.
  2. Add brown sugar.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add milk, keep stirring until mixture comes to a full boil.
  5. Remove from heat and cool for 30 minutes.
  6. Gradually add powdered sugar until the desired consistency is obtained.
  7. If frosting becomes too stiff add milk as necessary.
