Spaghetti Bake
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
- 1 qt. tomatoes, diced
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. sweet basil
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 1 tsp. hot Mexican chili powder
- 8 oz. spaghetti, cooked and drained (do not rinse)
- 4 oz. mushrooms
- 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Mix ground beef, tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion, sugar, salt, oregano, basil, garlic and chili powder; simmer 30 minutes.
- Cook and drain spaghetti (do not rinse).
- Add to meat mixture and add mushrooms.
- Put 1/2 mixture in 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Top with Mozzarella cheese.
- Add remainder of meat mixture.
- Top with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes, covering the first 20 minutes.
