Warm Almond Milk with Bananas and Honey

  1. In a food processor, grind the almonds to a coarse powder.
  2. Transfer to a medium saucepan.
  3. Add the milk, 1 tablespoon of the honey and the cardamom.
  4. Warm over moderate heat.
  5. Off the heat, cover and let stand for 20 minutes, then strain.
  6. Discard the solids.
  7. In a medium nonstick skillet, warm the remaining 3 tablespoons of honey.
  8. Add the bananas and cook over moderately high heat, stirring, for 2 minutes.
  9. Scrape into bowls, pour in the warm almond milk and serve with spoons.
