Nanny Max's Snickerdoodles

• 1 12 cups sugar
• 1 cup crisco shortening
• 2 eggs
• 2 12 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 12 teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon

1. Mix sugar, shortening and eggs together thoroughly.
2. cut in the flour, cream of tartar soda and salt and mix well.
3. roll into small balls about the same size as walnuts.
4. roll balls in cinnamon and sugar and place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
5. bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
