Chicken Chow Mein (China) Recipe
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1 1/2 c. minced celery
- 3/4 c. minced onion
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 c. minced, cooked chicken
- 1 can chop suey vegetables, liquid removed
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 tbsp. soy sauce
- Combine chicken broth, celery, onions and pepper in a 3 qt saucepan; cook till celery and onion are tender.
- Add in chicken and vegetables; stir well.
- Combine cornstarch and soy sauce.
- Gradually add in vegetable mix, stirring continuously till thickened.
- Serve over chow mein noodles.
- Yield: 6 servings.
