Mascarpone Havarti Cheese Ball
- 1/2 cup (125) Tre Stelle Mascarpone
- 2 cups (500) Havarti Cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup (125) sour cream
- 1/4 cup (50) green onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp. (30) Dijon-style mustard
- 1 tbsp. (15) horseradish
- 1 tsp. (5) crushed red chili flakes, if desired
- Garnish
- 1 cup (250) sliced hazelnuts
- fresh parsley, chopped finely
- In a medium bowl add all ingredients and stir until smooth.
- Taste and add extra seasoning and chili flakes if desired.
- Refrigerate mixture until firm approximately 1 hour.
- Remove from refrigerator and shape into a ball.
- Roll ball in sliced hazelnuts or chopped parsley.
- Alternatively roll into 1 balls and roll in a variety of garnishes (poppy seeds, black pepper, chopped mixed herbs or nuts) and served as a cocktail size appetizer.
- Makes approximately 10 -12 servings
