Slaw With Fresh Chives

  1. DRESSING: Whisk together sour cream and vinegar in small non-reactive bowl.
  2. Set aside or refrigerate until using.
  3. Can be prepared several hours in advance.
  4. SALAD: Thinly slice the cabbage and add to a salad bowl along with the fresh chives.
  5. Cut the pear up into matchsticks.
  6. Add to the salad bowl.
  7. Toss the salad ingredients gently with the salad dressing.
  8. Season to taste with salt and white pepper.
  9. Serve immediately or chill until ready to eat.
  10. NOTE: original recipe specified an entire bunch of chives.
