Cacciatore Vegetarian Style

  1. In a large skillet, saute mushrooms, celery, carrot, onion, peppers and garlic in balsamic vinegar until tender (add a small amount of water, if needed).
  2. Add tomato sauce, bean curd, wine, oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar.
  3. Bring to boil; reduce heat.
  4. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Serve over rice or pasta.
  6. Notes: If you are lacto use a bit of Feta cheese mixed in as well as some cheddar or Mozzarella on top.
  7. When I made it last time, I used stir fry vegetables.
  8. Mix of peppers yellow, red and green Also added some Lemon pepper Mrs.
  9. Dash.
  10. Nicely done.
  11. Will also work in Microwave.
