Homemade Spaghetti
- 1 (12 ounce) package pasta (Whichever you like!)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (14 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
- 1 (4 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 18-14 cup brown sugar (1/4 c. makes for a sweeter sauce)
- 12 tablespoon oregano
- 12 tablespoon basil
- 14 cup freshly chopped parsley
- 14 cup grated parmesan cheese
- In a large pot boiling water, add a pinch of salt for flavor & add pasta.
- Cook according to package directions.
- Drain & set aside.
- While pasta is cooking, in a large skillet add oil.
- Once oil is hot, add ground beef, onions, garlic & green peppers.
- Cook until ground beef & cooked thoroughly & onions are translucent.
- Drain.
- Add ground beef mixture back into skillet & add tomatoes, tomato paste, water, chicken bouillon cubes, oregano, basil & brown sugar.
- Stir.
- Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce to med.
- heat to bring the sauce to a simmer; cover with a lid & stir occasionally for about 10 minutes.
- On a large platter, place pasta & then top with spaghetti sauce.
- Top with grated parmesan cheese & parsley.
- Serve with a salad & garlic bread.
