Sharon's Italian Doughnuts
- 5 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 8 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup melted margarine
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 12 cup raisins or 12 cup walnuts or 12 cup cherries or 12 cup currants, etc
- milk, as needed
- hot oil (fill wok 1/3 of the way up)
- Mix all dry ingredients together.
- Add the liquids and mix.
- Add a little milk to make it moist.
- Add raisins (or nuts etc).
- Mix.
- Drop by teaspoonsful into hot oil.
- Cook until brown.
- Drain.
