Maple Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies (with Almond Meal)

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients expect the chocolate chips.
  3. (This is a little trick I do.)
  4. With the cookie dough form golf ball sized balls of dough (adding a few chocolate piece while you roll it.)
  5. Then press the balls of dough onto the cookie sheet.
  6. Its very important to press the dough to the size you want the cookies.
  7. Almond flour does not spread like wheat flour, but the cookies do rise a bit.
  8. After pressing the dough, add a few more chocolate chips on top.
  9. This is my trick.
  10. It makes the chocolate chips stand out more.
  11. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
  12. Remove from the oven and allow them to sit on the baking sheet for a minute or two before removing them.
