Black Walnut Chess Pie Recipe

  1. Prepare pastry shell; chill.
  2. Beat butter and sugar in a medium sized bowl till well-mixed.
  3. Add in flour, salt, egg yolks, and evaporated lowfat milk.
  4. Beat till well mixed.
  5. Stir in vanilla and walnuts.
  6. Pour mix into unbaked shell.
  7. Bake on lower rack of oven at 375 Degrees for 45 min or possibly till center is set but still soft.
  8. Cold thoroughly.
