Delicious Stir-Fried and Simmered Beef and Bamboo Shoot (Shigure-ni)

  1. Preparation: Cut the beef to 3 cm pieces.
  2. Slice the bamboo shoots to about 2 to 3 mm thickness.
  3. Mix all the ingredients.
  4. Heat a pan with sesame oil, cook the beef and bamboo shoots on high heat.
  5. When the beef has browned a bit, pour in the dashi stock and keep cooking.
  6. When the beef has completely browned, pour the ingredients over it and keep cooking until the moisture in the pan is almost gone.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds and mix.
