beehive buns
- 3 cup flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 5 envelope kiri cheese

- put the rest of the ingredients with the yeast mixture (except the cheese) in a mixer and mix on low speed till just incorporated.
- leave aside covered with warm towel for 15 mins.
- take small pieces of the risen dough into the palm of your hand, make a hole by pressing in the middle with your finger, and drop a small block of cheese in.
- roll into a ball and place on oiled tray.
- dab some evaporated milk onto the balls with your finger; this gives them a wonderful colour in the oven.
- you may choose to put a pinch of sesame seeds or habba sodah in the middle of each bun.
- bake in a preheated oven for 15 to 20 mins medium heat.
- boil 1 cup of sugar in 1/2 a cup of water and lightly coat the buns with this syrup when done.
