Blueberry Apple Butter Recipe
- 6-8 lbs. apples
- 4 c. sugar
- 8 c. blueberries
- 1 tbsp. grnd allspice
- Slice the apples.
- Add in sufficient water to barely cover.
- Cook till soft.
- Press through a sieve or possibly food mill.
- Measure the pulp so which you have 8 c. of pulp.
- Mix the apple pulp with the blueberries, sugar and allspice.
- Cook this mix on low in a heavy kettle till mix is thick and smooth.
- ladle into warm sterile containers.
- Process 10 min in a boiling water bath.
