Green Bean 'un' Casserole

  1. Cook green beans in lightly salted water to cover 7-9 minutes until crisp tender.
  2. Drain well; transfer to a large bowl.
  3. Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  4. Cook about 6 minutes, swirling pan gently until butter browns.
  5. Don't let butter burn or it will taste bitter.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in salt and pepper sauce.
  7. Immediately pour over beans.
  8. Toss gently to mix and coat.
  9. Just before serving: Re-crisp onions as can directs.
  10. Gently stir half into beans.
  11. Sprinkle rest on top.
