Glazed Nut Bars: Delicious! Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 c. mixed nuts or possibly peanuts or possibly cashew nuts, etc.
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 c. butterscotch chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, salt and 1 c. butter, blend well.
- Press into 10 x 15 inch jelly roll pan or possibly 2 (9 inch) square pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 min.
- Sprinkle nuts over partially baked crust.
- In small saucepan, combine corn syrup, butter, water and butterscotch chips, boil 2 min, stirring constantly.
- Pour cooked mix over nuts.
- Return to oven and bake 10 to 12 min or possibly till golden.
- Cold completely.
- Cut into bars.
- Makes 48 bars.
