Orange Cranberry Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 375*.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and orange peel in a bowl; mix well.
  3. Add cut up pieces of butter and mix until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  4. Add cranberries, sour cream, honey, egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix to a soft dough.
  6. Remove dough onto lightly floured surface and kneed 8-10 times.
  7. It wont take much.
  8. Use a rolling pine (I used my hands to press down) and roll dough out to 8" square.
  9. Cut into 4 squares and cut the squares into triangles.
  10. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar topping if desired.
  11. (I preferred without the topping but rather served with a side of homemade whipped cream).
  12. Place in oven for 15-20 minutes or till golden brown.
