Deep Purple Raisin Pie Recipe
- 1 c. raisins
- 2 c. grape juice
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. grape juice
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- Pastry for 2 crust pie
- Cook raisins in 2 c. grape juice for 10 min.
- Combine sugar and cornstarch.
- Blend in 1/4 c. grape juice and the lemon juice.
- Stir into rains mix.
- Cook and stir over medium heat till thick and clear.
- Pour into pastry lined pan.
- Place top crust over filling and cut vents.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 10 min, and then reduce temperature to 375 degrees and bake 30 min more.
