Braised Sirloin Tips Over Rice
- 2 pounds Sirloin Beef Tips Or Sirloin Steak Cut Into 1-inch Pieces
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 can (10.5 Oz.) Beef Consomme
- 13 cups Cranberry Juice/or Red Wine
- 2 Tablespoons Light Soy Sauce
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1/4 teaspoons Onion Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
- 1/4 cups Water
- 4 cups Cooked Rice
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown meat in oil, stirring to brown the meat on all sides.
- Stir in consomme, juice, soy sauce, garlic, and onion powder.
- Heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender.
- Blend cornstarch and water together in a small bowl.
- Then gradually it into meat mixture.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
- Boil and stir for a couple of minutes.
- Serve over rice.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
