Grilled Polynesian Style Pork Steaks
- 2 Pork steaks (1 pound each)
- 1 & 1/2 cup Pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Creme da coco
- 1 tbsp Rice wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sherry
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp Powdered ginger
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 cup Marinade
- 1/2 tsp Cornstarch
- Mix the marinade ingredients very well with a wire whisk.
- Remove and reserve 1/2 cup of the marinade for the sauce.
- Pour the remaining marinate onto the pork steaks in a large ziplock bag .
- Refrigerate 4 to 24 hours, flip the bag several times.
- Place the 1/2 cup of marinade into a saucepan and whisk in the cornstarch while it is still cold.
- Bring to a gentle boil and cook for a few minutes.
- Remove from the heat and cool.
- Set up your grill for Direct Heat.
- Remove the pork steaks from the marinade (discard the marinade).
- Grill over Direct Heats 4 or 5 minutes on the first side.
- (when the juices begins to pull up on top of the steaks there right to flip over).
- Flipped over pork steaks and glaze with the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 4 or 5 minutes minutes.
- Flip pork steak and glaze with remaining sauce.
- Cook for 1 minute and removed from grill.
- Let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
