Appelsoppa (Apple Soup)

  1. Peel apples and cut in slices.
  2. Add sugar to water and bring to a boil.
  3. Add apples and cook until tender, but not mushy.
  4. Mix cornstarch with a little water and add to the apples, stirring until smooth.
  5. If dried apples are used, rinse well and soak overnight in the water.
  6. Cook in the same water.
  7. A little lemon juice gives a fresher taste.
