Cape Anne Chowder

  1. Cook and stir onion in butter in 3-quart saucepan on medium heat until tender; blend in flour.
  2. Gradually add water; stir in vegetables and seasonings.
  3. Cover; simmer 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  4. Add remaining ingredients; stir until cheese is melted.
