Best Apple Pie Recipe
- 4 c. apples sliced
- 1/2 c. butter melted
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon grnd
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg grnd
- 1 x 9 inch pie shell unbaked
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. pecans minced-optional
- The best Apple Pie which you will ever eat.
- The secret is soaking the apples in the melted butter.
- Serve hot to get the best rich butter flavor.
- Pour melted butter over sliced apples and soak a few min.
- Combine sugar, flour, and spices.
- Remove apples from butter (reserve any which is left and use in topping) Coat apples with sugar mix, pour into pastry shell.
- Combine topping ingredients and crumble over apples.
- Bake at 400^ for 40 to 45 min, or possibly till brown and apples are tender.
- Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
