Beer Batter Fish Recipe
- 1 pound fish fillets or possibly cooked shrimp
- 3 to 4 tbsp. biscuit baking mix
- 1 c. Bisquick mix
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. beer
- Vegetable oil
- Heat 1 1/2 inches oil in heavy saucepan or possibly deep fry at 350 degrees.
- Lightly coat fish with 3 to 4 Tbsp.
- baking mix.
- Mix 1 c. baking mix, egg, salt and beer till smooth.
- Dip fish into batter, letting excess dip into bowl.
- Fry fish till golden, about 2 min on each side.
- Drain.
- 3 to 4 servings.
- In high altitudes, 3500 to 6500 feet, heat oil to 330 to 335 degrees.
