Ham and Asparagus Cheesy Puffed Roll Ups

  1. Preheat oven according to crescent roll directions.
  2. Cut asparagus in 2 inch pieces.
  3. Lightly blanch in boiling water for 1 minute.
  4. Cool in an ice bath and dry well.
  5. Cut ham and mozzarella into 2 inch x 1/2 slices.
  6. As a main course, use 4 asparagus, 3 ham, 2 mozzarella slices rolled into each roll and baked according to directions on can.
  7. As an appetizer, cut each roll in half and roll into each 2 asparagus, 2 ham and 1 mozzarella slice.
  8. Roll up and bake according to directions on can.
  9. Freshly shredded mozzarella and fresh mozzarella can be used, but string cheese is easier to roll.
