Gingerbread Cake
- 2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup soft butter
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup dark molasses
- Place flour, sugar, soda, baking powder, salt, and spices in mixing bowl.
- Blend
- Add remaining ingredients and mix together until well blended.
- Poor into well greased 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan
- Bake at 350F for 30 to 40 minutes or until gingerbread springs back when lightly touched in center.
- serve warm with Cool Whip or Europe Cream.
