NO RECIPE RECIPE: Simple Egg Drop Soup

  1. Bring chicken broth to a simmer.
  2. Add a few splashes of soy sauce and hot sauce, to taste.
  3. Grate a little ginger into the broth.
  4. Stir to combine.
  5. Crack 2 eggs in a measuring cup and lightly beat with a whisk.
  6. Turn off the heat.
  7. With a ladle, stir the broth in a circular motion to create a "whirlpool".
  8. Slowly drizzle in the beaten eggs in a circular motion as well, without whisking or stirring them in.
  9. Let the eggs cook for about 1 minute.
  10. Serve immediately.
