Broccoli Flatbread
- 1 pound pizza dough store-bought or homemade, enough for 2 people, or as needed
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce or tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil infused with minced garlic at low heat for 10 minutes
- 2 each mushrooms, button sliced, or cremini
- 1/2 each green bell peppers slice into 1/4-inch thick
- 1/4 each red onion thinly slcied
- 1 cup broccoli florets cut into bite pieces
- 3 tablespoons kalamata olives pitted and sliced
- 1 clove garlic sliced
- 1 x salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 x olive oil for drizzling
- Preheat the oven to 450 F degree.
- Roll the pizza dough or bread dough into a 12-inch circle.
- Place the dough onto a pizza pan that's sprinkled with cornmeal.
- In a bowl, toss together all the topping ingredients with 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
- Place the topping ingredients on top, and spread to cover the dough evenly.
- Bake until the shell is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 15 minutes.
- Cool slightly and serve warm.
- Note: If you'd like to add some cheese, place the cheese over the sauce before you add the toppings.
