Wrapped Cod Fillets

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Season fish with pepper.
  3. Wrap bacon around fish in crisscross pattern, forming "x" across top.
  4. Secure with toothpick, if necessary.
  5. Heat skillet; add fish.
  6. Cook 3 min.
  7. on each side or until bacon is crisp.
  8. Remove from skillet, reserving drippings.
  9. Place in baking dish.
  10. Bake 15 min.
  11. or until fish flakes easily with fork.
  12. Saute lemon slices in remaining bacon drippings 4 min.
  13. or until peel is lightly browned.
  14. Remove toothpicks from fish; top with lemon slices.
  15. Sprinkle with cheese.
