Made-In-The-Pan Chocolate Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 325F Have ready an 8-inch-square glass baking pan.
  2. Put the first 5 ingredients into the pan.
  3. Mix slowly with a fork and a spoon until uniform.
  4. Make 4 dents with the back of a spoon.
  5. Put the last 4 ingredients into each dent.
  6. Stir slowly with a fork in small circles to blend.
  7. As it becomes a batter, mash, scrape, and stir with fork and spoon until smooth.
  8. Scrape the sides with a rubber spatula, and spread it evenly.
  9. Clean the edges, then bake for 30 minutes.
  10. Cool before cutting into squares.
