Hazelnut Caramel Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350*.
  2. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium high speed until light and fluffy, 3-4 minutes.
  3. reduce speed to low, add flour and salt, mixing until crumbly.
  4. Press mixture onto bottom of 8 inch square baking pan.
  5. Pour caramel topping over mixture in pan.
  6. Sprinkle hazelnuts on top of caramel.
  7. Bake bars until edges are golden, 20-25 minutes.
  8. Place pan on wire rack.
  9. Microwave chocolate in small bowl on HIGH just until melted, about 1 minutes.
  10. Stir until smooth.
  11. Drizzle chocolate over bars.
  12. Cool completely.
  13. Cut into bars.
